Here are a few of this months addons for our Heat Wave kit - the cardstock will also include a sheet of Kraft cardstock - the thickers are YUM but my poor cameraphone doesn't do them justice....  find them here!

Oops! First one is upside down, despite being right way up in the photo album... but you get the idea :D This is part of a display that i have been making for Louise's shop. Can't wait to see what it looks like once the whole thing is up on the wall.

What is your favourite font?

I am currently 'into' fonts since we decided to make all the little signs inside the shop in 'Girls are Weird' font. Googling around the net throws up some fantastic font - my latest favourite is called Lobster....

so what are your favourite fonts and where can I find them?

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMY - Emer has come cropping today and brought us all these delicious malteser squares... bang goes my diet especially as I am out tonight at Oregano restaurant for a belated birthday meal with hubby....

Thurs night cards

Last night we made baby cards using some of the Kars stamp packs (only £1.99!) and papers from Kaisercraft Little Miss and Little Man range - here are two that Carol was doing today - she came by the shop and spent the day here making cards.... the day has flown by and shutting up shop in about half an hour.

I have got the idea of organising another retreat into my head and I know from past experience that it will be at the back of my mind until I get something booked.... all I need to do is get Tara onside :D or else get myself organised to do classes myself - eeek! On the flip side, I am ready for my first kids class this Tuesday - we are going to make door hangers - heaven knows how it will go as my first customers are all about four years old - cue glitter, glue and lots of sequin messiness!

Girls trip stateside

I had a little scrapping myself this afternoon on the shop counter - had to try out my supersharp new guillotine and had my eye on the umbrellas papers from My Minds Eye.... so I scrapped a photo from when Tara and I went to NYC for mum's 60th birthday with a family friend Jennifer - what a FAB weekend that was.... plus I had some lovely cherished memories ribbon which I think I have had lying around since our first retreat possibly.... I really must invest in some decent photography....

Carols cards

We had our first card making class on Thursday night and it was a great night - we only had two ladies for our first one but since it is the builder's fortnight here in N.Ireland when half the country is on holiday, I thought that was ok. Maria was great, very good teacher and Audrey and Carol seemed to really enjoy it! We already have two others booked in for next Thursday night as well so lets hope its a 'builder' lol.....

Lovely letters

I have finally got the letters out in the shop and uploaded onto the website...... great for altering! Now if only I could get the O's in stock we could make a CLEO for the shop wall!!!!

moving along nicely

hi everyone - well we survived opening day - had a great day and finished it off nicelyl with some pink champagne on Sat night down at my sister in laws.... now I am settling into being a shopkeeper. Lovely meeting lots of new crafters and hearing all about the different things people are into. I am in dire need of a high stool behind the counter especially today as I am on a 11.5 hour shift - yikes! Haven't stood up for this long since I don't know when.... I have my first classes booked for next week and can't wait to get them underway. The difference between being online and being in a premises are quite a lot - people buy stuff because they like it, as opposed to it being the latest new thing - and I have time to do my updating and stock taking because my three bambinos are not distracting me! Saying that, I am looking forward to having my two ladies trained up and getting to mind my own children two afternoons a week.... I think we are all missing each other (thats Sarah, Daithi, Shay and me... not the ladies lol....)
