Well we had a great time on the market today - lots of really friendly folks about - we did eat too much stuff from the other stalls and I had at least three coffees.... but hey!! Tara made our sign from plywood, MDF letters and our Basic Grey Colour Me Silly papers - isn't it FAB????

We raised a whopping £634 yesterday for Christian Aid in our bag-packing marathon at M&S - fantastic!! So now I am almost at my target for my sponsored cycle - now I gotta concentrate on the CYCLING! Yikes!!

On the non-crafty front, tomorrow is our big day bag-packing at M&S in Newtownabbey - have to be there for 9.45 am and have my volunteers lined up all day to 4pm. Don't have any idea how I am going to last myself until then, but at least there is a coffee shop onsite haha....hoping to raise at least £700 and then I will have all my funds for the sponsored cycle.... if not, then its going to be QUIZ time sometime in the summer...

well i am so excited getting ready for market - going to get some waterproof table coverings today and have found some fab knitted goodies to sell alongside our papercrafts - keep your eyes posted til they arrive.... very scrumptious!! We have our scrapping night tonight so hopefully i will get something done to blog here

I spent the day getting lots of bits and pieces ready for our market stall - tonnes to do - was buying s-shaped hooks today for hanging things up, and came across a gorgeous three-tier cake stand in Homebase - so had to buy it too.... will think of something to display on it!!

quiet week

Well its been quite a quiet week for us on the scrapping front - we cancelled our tuesday night crop cos mr.ethan was not eating for his mummy and I have not really done much in the way of my own stuff... but its all about to change as we got word we are getting a 'casual' place at St.George's Market in Belfast ....whooopeeeeeeeeeee - so its all systems go to get ready for our first saturday. Its going to be a few weeks as I am off to see Neil Diamond this weekend in Dublin and next week is the bag-packing at M&S to raise money for Christian AId/cycle London to Paris fundraiser... which is good as I need to get display stuff sorted for our stall first!! Soo exciting!

Well I was out cycling on Saturday afternoon (did 14miles - yippeee!) and couldn't believe my eyes - part of my cycle path goes alongside the M5 motorway into belfast and on the other side of the cycle path there is a strip of trees and bushes about ten meters wide - the other side of that is the city dump which is used to make reclaimed land and then industrial warehouses - you get the picture - like most city outskirts really - anyway, what did I see strutting alongside the treeline - a PEACOCK!!! Really amazing - I didn't have my phone with me or I could have taken a photo - will carry it from now on.. I rang the RSPB today to tell them and they just said it was probably from a private collection and it would eventually go back to where it gets its food from (?? not around there I'm sure - maybe there are rich pickings at the dump???) Anyway - how cool is that?

Well we have picked our Guest Designer and will be posting their name tomorrow morning - I am very excited about the next kit and so will you be when you see the Guest DT's entry! As for me, I am going to put down the laptop and start a layout tonight.... will wonders never cease???

busy week

Well what a busy week - firstly my nephew was born last week - he is officially one week and three hours old! Then my daughter started nursery on Monday for two days a week (this is my first time leaving her with non-family - a HUGE DEAL!) - then I had my interview and passed it on Thursday so am now a Project Manager (note the caps) .... and all the while my brother keeps sending photos of him in Hawaii.... and we tried to start potty training this morning - my DD just gave me back her pants and said calmly - 'i want to throw those away' and ran over and grabbed her nappy bag!! Hmmmm..... and all the while i am thinking about what layout i want to do with our fabby new papers! SOOO must get some scrapping done tomorrow!

Whooopeeee I am excited about these too..... we got the lovely Bo Bunny Word albums - baby, family, love and believe .... maybe a bit later than other sites, but still... aren't they gorge!! Also - i got my job! Whoooppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee am now a project manager! eeek!

Yuck - i have an interview at work tomorrow and I am not even back from maternity leave! Fingers crossed - once its over I can get back to concentrating on our next monthly kit.....oooh what will it be......

Guest DT call

WE are on the lookout for a guest designer for next month with the possibility for further designing.... for anyone who is interested, please send samples of your work to cleocrafts@yahoo.co.uk

The winning entrant will get a July kit to play with and is expected to post their designs to me before the end of June. The design(s) will then be posted on our blog and our website in time for the release of the kit on 1st July

Am excited to see the talent that is hopefully out there!!

lovely weekend

We have had a great weekend - lots of sunshine and visiting family (including meeting my gorgeous new nephew Ethan, and a girls trip out to see Sex and the City movie with my sister-in-law) - now back to home and we have launched our June kit - yay!!
