My new layout

Just did this tonight as i dont have any pages of my nephews yet. Hmm just logging in now to check how this looks - I sent the photo from my phone but I don't hink its very good quality so will have to retake later with my proper camera. I love these chipboard alpha thickers from American Crafts... will have to restrain myself from using them on all my pages!!

st.josephs church, sailortown, belfast

Hmm what else have i been up to - did my longest cycle this morning so far - 14.8 miles (i know its exact - i'd like to say 15miles but am using a proper cyclometer (no idea if that is a word!) so it tells me the right distance. I cycled past this church that was closed up in 2001, and the congregation were against the closure so they still have a service every Sunday morning at 10am outside the church! I thought that was pretty cool - I cycled past just as they were finishing up. You can read all about it here -

Love the people power!!

I just did my tesco shop online and got £12 off!! Yay!!! Here's the code in case you want to do the same - prob only works this week though
Discount code: XX-3D-2Q

Tara in hospital again....

Well Tara has been admitted again to the maternity ward but this time they think they might keep her in until she has her induction next Wed... she is hoping to get out of course if she can keep her BP down. In the meantime, I am trying to think what all i need to get ready for the Ballyclare craft fair this Saturday - got all the stock sorted but have to think about how to organise it on a table! Hmmm.... i think a shopping trip is called for!

The Birth of my Scrapbooking Obsession

Cardmaking was my first crafting obsession, but i think that it was this card that changed the direction of my interest towards Scrapbooking... All of a sudden I became like a little magpie, hoarding flowers, brads and metal embellishments... and i wanted something longer lasting to create with them - ... my second crafting obsession began and i have never looked back!

A Seventies Child

Was having a bit of a hunt through my scrapbook for layouts that don't make me cringe at my embarrassing hairdoo's or awful clothing! Not sure I was the prettiest of babies... but hopefully my chubby features aren't genetic - wouldn't want my baby to suffer the same affliction!

cutesy scrapbooking......

Had to share this with you all..... found this while surfing about 'retreats' and made me laugh....

And while the concept of scrapbooking may be fundamentally cutesy to begin with, you will see women take the cute factor to dangerously saccharin extremes. Women have been spotted 'journaling' letters addressed to themselves, but written in the 'voice' of their newborn child:

Dear Mommy - You are the absolute bestest Mommy any baby could ever have in the whole world. I'm so lucky to have you as my Mommy, and I don't ever want to share you at all. Can I stay with you forever and ever?
-- Love and sloppy kisses, Baby Janie

telly addicts

Well have not been updating the blog cos we are catching up on our sky plus episodes of Heroes and American Idol..... but I did pick out lots of photo's from my childhood today to be scanned for layouts - will need some nice new papers to go with my orangey seventies photos!! In the meantime, here is one of my recent faves - Sarah will have TONNES of photos to scrap when she is older.....
