big weekend ahead...

its a big weekend coming up for us at Cleo Crafts - Tara and I are off to complete our childrens craft sessions with Afasic NI in Belfast on Friday night - I am looking forward to meeting up with the boys again and finishing our little projects - then on Saturday it's Joy's big Christmas Craft day - my only responsibility is to make the soup :)  lets hope I don't mess that part up! 

Then onto Monday night and the visit to Downtrick's Patchwork & Craft ladies group for our enormous cardmaking class.... the cards are prepped and we have up to 30 ladies coming!   I think I will have a well deserved rest on Tuesday!

Christmas Craft Workshop sneaky peeks

Joy has been working away on her projects for our Christmas crafters workshop day - we have been taking bookings for Saturday 3rd November - there are a few spots left if you are interested.. in the meantime, let me introduce you to our little friend...

 

October Advanced Papercraft Class - Christmas Decorations

Tonight I was at Joy's advanced papercraft class along with some of our lovely crafty friends.   Highlight of the night was when Joy and Toni managed to drop Toni's half-made decoration in my cup of tea....  and then dunk it while trying to rescue it...     

We used Carta Bella papers , cut into little arrow tips, used ultra sticky doublesided tape along each point, and along the long edge on the background - all the pieces were stuck together and then 'smashed' down on a round piece of cardboard with a glue gun.  The tape was then taken off the points and embossed with Stampendous Champagne embossing powder.   The centre of the decoration was from an old earring, again stuck down with glue guns.   THis class will be repeated on Saturday morning if you are interested... I loved it!!
